August Meeting

We gathered at Vilma's lovely new house.  Thanks for all the yummy goodies (great cheesecake!)

We had an informative "visit" via conference call with the author of the August book - Iris Yang.  Lindy had met her on a cruise in Europe - it was nice to have a personal connection to the author.  It's a small world as she has a child that lives in Chatham County!

Iris was very energetic and answered all of our questions for almost 1/2 hour on the phone.   Many of the group had read the sequel to "Wings of a Flying Tiger" and Iris informed us that she is working on Book 3 of the series.

Our September read will be "Anything is Possible" by a familiar author (she wrote Olive Kitteredge) Elizabeth Strout.  We believe that Jean volunteered to host at her new house.  If that changes, we will update here.

Be sure to check out the list of other books members are reading.
