October Meeting

Fantastic meeting at Bonnie's lovely house!

We had a couple of previous members join us - Charlee and Carolyn.  Great fun to see them again.  Hope to see Carolyn regularly now that she's moved so close to Pittsboro!

We had a great discussion of this month's read - Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.  Everyone enjoyed it - one of the better books we've read.

And we must mention that Bonnie certainly treated us to some wonderful snacks - the pumpkin cake was a huge hit!

Remember, we won't have a meeting in November since everyone is so busy - but we'll have our usual early December  meeting/party  with the "Dirty Santa" gift exchange at Donna's house on December 11th.

Remember to bring a wrapped gift to share (but no nametag) - try to keep it under $20.

Next month's read should be a fun one -  Crimes Against a Book Club by Kathy Cooperman.

And there are some interesting books that are on the "List of other books" link on the right if you've got time for more reading!

And if that's not enough - you can follow Dolly's recommendations on her USA Today website!

On a non-book-club side note -  you're welcome to check out Karen's Sailing Blog - there is a link on the right.  Karen will be leaving in a few weeks with husband Duane to spend the next 6 months in the Bahamas on their sailboat - the blog gets updated every few days so check back any time.
