September Meeting

We all enjoyed meeting at Linda's new house in Chatham Park!

Yummy snacks too. Thanks for hosting, Linda!

We did get around to discussing this month's read - the Afghan woman's tale The Pearl That Broke It's Shell.  The consistent sentiment about the book was both sadness and anger about the horrible treatment the Afghan woman live with.

Dolly has volunteered to host the October meeting - and the author of the book will join us!

The book is Reenu-Yu by Michelle Tracy Berger.

We usually don't meet in November since it interferes with Thanksgiving travel.   Our "Holiday" meeting will be the first few weeks in December - Sharon will host and that exact date is TBD.  Since we have skipped Linda's book choice from the September meeting - she has chosen Midwives by Chris Bohjalian for the December book to read.

And for those of you at the meeting- Karen was late because of a photo-shoot of the new HondaJet at the Asheboro Airport.  Here is a photo of that cool plane!

Check out the "other books" link at the left for some reading ideas.

And for those of you that haven't played the simple word games Wordle or Quordle - here are links.  The games are free, require no registration and only take a minute or two.  If you like word structure, you'll like these games!  You just are guessing what the 5 letter word is for the day.
