Lindy hosted the meeting - we discussed “The Stranger in the Lifeboat” by Mitch Albom. We all liked it.
Lindy made a delicious blueberry pie, along with a yummy asian peanut dressing and carrots. We enjoyed a fabulous Pinot Noir and a Chenin Blanc.
We decided to not have a meeting in August. Many members are traveling next month. Our next book will be The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi. The book is about women in Afghanistan (both past and present) . It was recommended to Lindy by a friend in Virginia Beach.
New member Linda will host book club in September.
