We had a nice discussion about this month's book - Master, Slave, Husband, Wife. While most everyone liked gaining knowledge about that period in US history, there were numerous comments about the "flow" of the narrative and too many details. But overall a good read.
Next month's book is The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. We have the books from the Chatham Library book club kit. Linda, Bonnie and Vilma, someone will contact you with your copy of the book. (Can't remember who has which but someone will get a copy of the book to you!)
The October meeting will be hosted by Bonnie. Looking ahead, we will skip November and Sharon will host the Christmas/December meeting.
